Located in Hempstead NY, this property needed a full renovation. When we started the job there was no kitchen and there was a violation for a basement apartment. The first thing we needed to do was remove the basement apartment so the violation and stop work order could be removed. Once the basement was completed which included demolishing, plumbing and electrical work we were able to start on the rest of the house. We installed new electrical, plumbing, kitchen and much more, when the time for the final inspection came the city inspector let us know that the bedrooms in the attic weren’t on the original plans and need to be dealt with. There were two options for this, we could turn them back into an unfinished attic or we could get architects make plans and pull the permits to legalize it, our client wanted the latter. We quickly got architects and legalized the attic without going too far beyond our original completion date.
